Packet Design to Present Session on 'Making Networks Safe for VoIP' at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO Fall 2005

PALO ALTO, Calif., September 22, 2005 — "Making the Network Safe for VoIP" will be the topic of a session to be presented by Alex-Henthorn-Iwane, senior director of marketing at Packet Design, Inc., on October 27 during TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO Fall 2005 at the Los Angeles, Calif., Convention Center.

"Voice over Internet technology holds great promise for enterprises, service providers and consumers, but its quality and reliability are still at issue," Henthorn-Iwane said.  "This session will focus on the routing-related issues that can wreak havoc with VoIP delivery, and the use of an emerging technology known as route analytics to ensure a highly predictable, reliable and stable IP network as the basis for successful VoIP deployments."

“We are very pleased that Mr. Henthorn-Iwane will be participating in this year’s show.  Packet Design is widely respected as a pioneer and industry leader in route analytics technology, and I am confident that our attendees will value the opportunity to hear his perspective on IP infrastructure requirements for effective VoIP delivery,” said TMC president and conference co-chair Rich Tehrani.  “Over the past year, widespread adoption of VoIP by global service providers, businesses and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution.  As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO as a means of learning about the technology so they too can take advantage of its benefits.”

INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO is the world’s largest and best-attended VoIP trade show.  Last February the show drew over 6,200 buyers and sellers of VoIP products and services to Miami.  For this upcoming October show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 7,500.  Anyone interested may register at http://www.itexpo.com. Limited booth space is still available as well.  Vendors interested in exhibiting at the show should contact Dave Rodriguez at 1-203-852-6800, ext. 146, or at [email protected].
