Faster Simpler Sourcing with New ZoomInfo Company Information Search

WALTHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 19, 2005 --

Summarization Search Technology Applied to Company Information

Revenue, Employee Count, Ticker Symbol and Competitors all Searchable in New Premium Upgrades

Zoom Information, Inc., (www.zoominfo.com) the search engine that extracts and summarizes people information from the web, launched a new version of its ZoomInfo Platinum search product that speeds sourcing of job candidates and company research. Paid subscribers can now search by company revenues or number of employees, and select from hundreds of titles and industries to rapidly move from a broad survey to a precision search in just a few clicks. ZoomInfo Platinum can also generate a list of competitors of any given company to rapidly expand the universe of candidates. The name of Zoom Information's core subscription product, used by 20% of the Fortune 500 for recruiting, sales and marketing, was changed to ZoomInfo Platinum with the incorporation of the more robust company search feature.

"I use ZoomInfo as a virtual sourcing specialist," said Paula Phelps, director of talent acquisition at IdeaLab. "IdeaLab is focused on recruiting the best of the best, and ZoomInfo's new search design and features take an entire day out of the sourcing process - helping me discover the ideal hidden talent to staff our startups."

"ZoomInfo's summarization search technology automatically built and keeps fresh the largest database of information about business people anywhere, and now we're enhancing our company data by marrying our advances in summarization with licensed data to create a trustworthy, unique resource," said Gary Halliwell, president of Zoom Information.

Build a list of target companies faster

New search filters allow users to describe their ideal target company, whether they are acquiring talent or preparing a sales pitch. Revenue figures and employee counts have been added to in-depth company summaries. Choosing an upper and lower limit for annual revenue is simple, and can be combined with geographic and industry category filters.

Industry categories dynamically built from today's news

ZoomInfo's natural language processing algorithms understand the news articles and press releases they read, and extract information that is then used to build summaries of companies. ZoomInfo additionally tracks growth trends for new categories from the sources it reads every hour of every day. When new categories reach a critical mass, they are integrated into ZoomInfo's search forms to allow users to search based on today's fastest growing industry sectors, and are not forced to pigeonhole new jobs into old categories.

Networking and communications

Company information will grow rapidly in both depth and functionality in the coming months. Subscribers will also soon be able to communicate and network directly from inside the products, reducing the time required to get in touch with prospects and manage accounts.

ZoomInfo recently announced a partnership with InsideScoop to provide direct integration of ZoomInfo summaries into Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management systems. More integration of ZoomInfo data and functionality into third-party systems will be announced in coming months.
