CritterPix Studios Announces Regency Frolicks with MADAGASCAR Writer
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- May 24, 2005 -- Regency Enterprises has hired veteran screenwriter Billy Frolick to pen the script for the upcoming animated CG feature film OLLIE. The studio previously announced its collaboration with the northern California-based CritterPix Studios on the ambitious project.
"OLLIE is an exciting project for Regency, and we look forward to working with Billy on our first foray into this ever growing genre," said Regency's President of Production, Sanford Panitch.
Frolick, co-writer of DreamWorks highly-anticipated May 27th release MADAGASCAR, is expected to deliver the OLLIE script for storyboarding shortly. CritterPix will begin full-scale production soon after.
"In addition to contracting a top writer for our story, CritterPix will employ veteran computer graphic artistic talent and cutting-edge digital design tools to bring OLLIE to life and deliver an entertaining motion picture," said veteran animation producer, Gary Goldman.
