TechPoint Foundation Names ExactTarget Information Technology Company of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- May 16, 2005 -- On-demand email software provider ExactTarget was honored with the Information Technology Company of the Year Award by TechPoint, the leading change agent for Indiana's technology industry. Key considerations for the award are profitability, sustainability, impact on the industry and market, and accomplishments as an outstanding corporate citizen. In 2004, ExactTarget received TechPoint's Gazelle Award, which is given to the leading technology company in business less than three years from the initial commercialization of its principal products or services.

ExactTarget has earned the leadership position among other email service providers by delivering the features that marketers find important, such as ease of use, data-driven personalized emails, email analytics and industry leading deliverability. More than 3,250 organizations worldwide rely on ExactTarget email software to strengthen their customer relationships. In 2004 alone, ExactTarget added over 900 customers, including T-Mobile, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Vera Bradley, The Franklin Mint and Little Tikes.

"We are honored to be recognized by TechPoint for the second year in a row and thank them for their support of growing technology companies in Indiana," said Scott Dorsey, president of ExactTarget. "We also are grateful to our employees. Through their creativity, innovation and hard work we have built one of the nation's leading companies in the fast growing on-demand software industry."

TechPoint recognizes companies annually with their MIRA Awards to celebrate and publicize the state's top technology companies, products and individuals. The Awards represent an opportunity to showcase progress and create awareness by honoring those companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to Indiana's technology industry.

According to J. Cameron Carter, president and CEO of TechPoint, nominations and attendance at this year's MIRA Awards were up significantly over last year. "Perhaps this is a testament to the expansion of the awards themselves, but more likely we are witnessing the fruits of hard work and perseverance on the part of Indiana's technology entrepreneurs," he said.
