ToolWorx Information Products to Deliver UGS Tecnomatix Solutions; Leading Developer of Automated Manufacturing Data Collection Applications Gains Access to Leading FactoryLink Platform, Expands Market Offerings
BRIGHTON, Mich. --(Business Wire)-- May 12, 2005 -- ToolWorx Information Products, Inc., a leading developer of automated data collection applications, today announced a sales partnership with UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services. The partnership allows ToolWorx to offer the FactoryLink(R) production automation software from UGS' Tecnomatix suite of digital manufacturing solutions. This will expand ToolWorx's host of traceability and error proofing solutions for the digital manufacturing industry.
This sales partnership, part of UGS' partner program, will combine Tecnomatix(R) FactoryLink with the ToolWorx Bridge(TM) products to provide key benefits to both organizations and their customers including:

-- Expanded usage of FactoryLink in existing accounts in both upgrades and existing applications
-- Increased control and visibility for FactoryLink applications
-- Enhanced technical support coverage for FactoryLink

Both FactoryLink -- UGS's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) product -- and ToolWorx Bridge(TM) utilize many of the same technologies related to traceability and error proofing control, such as Microsoft's SQL database and the .NET development environment.
