In addition, the Company has extended ExtremeWare XOS to a new fixed configuration solution, the Summit(R) X450 switch, making it the first fixed configuration switch with automated process restart for high availability. The award-winning ExtremeWare XOS is an innovative modular operating system that offers enhanced network availability and allows customers to improve application performance by loading critical application acceleration functions while the switch is in service. Its extensibility and open architecture, featuring additions to XML APIs for device-to-device or application collaboration, boosts the intelligence of the network.
