Alcatel Transitions to IFRS


PARIS, March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA), today issued financial information for the 2004 fiscal year quantifying the impact of the transition to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for the preparation and reporting of its 2005 consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with the IFRS framework. It includes, among others, a reconciliation of its 2004 shareholders' equity and net income from French GAAP to IFRS.
