VPIsystems Delivers Network Resource Planning Software To Canada's Leading Telecommunications Company
HOLMDEL, N.J., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- VPIsystems announced today that it has received multiple orders from Bell Canada for VPI network resource planning and engineering software plus additional VPI software enhancements. Bell Canada will be using the software to optimize capacity utilization on its existing network and for optimizing designs of new ring and mesh networks.
The VPIsystems software includes VPItransportMaker(TM) which models backbone ring and mesh networks and how traffic moves across these networks. Carriers that use this software can extract more usable capacity out of existing networks. The VPI software enables carriers to allocate traffic more efficiently, thereby freeing up network capacity. Similarly, the VPI software enables new network capacity to be designed more efficiently. This optimization will enable Bell Canada to minimize the amount of new equipment necessary to deliver this capacity, thereby providing significant OpEx and CapEx savings.
"We are pleased Bell Canada selected VPIsystems to supply this software for one of their most important business processes." stated John Holobinko, President and CEO of VPIsystems. "Having Bell Canada as an additional major VPIsystems customer further demonstrates that VPIsystems is a world class OSS software vendor in the communications market."
