Witness Systems Achieves Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Section 404

In its Form 10-K, filed yesterday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Witness Systems management assessed the effectiveness of its internal control over financial reporting and concluded that the company had no material weaknesses and that its controls were effective as of December 31, 2004.
