"I would like to thank the employees at Baseline Consulting for their generous, and totally unexpected financial contribution in support of our work," said Seline H. Skoug, executive director, Casting for Recovery. "This tremendous contribution will make a significant and immediate difference. Through its values and dedication to community, Baseline employees have joined hands in support of CFR, a program that has an everlasting effect on the quality of life of breast cancer survivors and their families," Skoug said. "We are eternally grateful."
Baseline Committed to Giving
Every year since its founding in 1991, Baseline's partners have provided employees with an initial list of seven candidate charities, from which Baseline employees select their top two favorites. Each winning charity receives a percentage of the company's prior year's profit. The Sierra Club was the company's other 2005 charity choice. Prior year's recipients have included The Humane Society, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Habitat for Humanity, The Elephant Sanctuary and The American Red Cross.
"Baseline believes that while profit is a corporate goal, it is not necessarily a corporate purpose," said Jill Dyche, company partner and co-founder. "We're especially proud that the charities we choose each year are employee-selected, and we believe our selections mirror who we are as a company. For 2005, we are delighted to be partnering with CFR, which provides a unique forum for women with similar experiences to meet, learn a new craft, and gain skills to accelerate mental and physical healing," Dyche said. "We look forward to supporting CFR's worthy cause throughout the year, and beyond."
