Rapport Incorporated Completes $7 Million Series A Funding; Frank Sinton Appointed President and COO


REDWOOD CITY, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- July 20, 2005 -- Rapport Incorporated, the technology leader and developer of Kilocore, a next generation architecture enabling new levels of computing performance and acceleration at incredibly low energy consumption, announced today the closing of their $7 million Series A financing led by Techfarm Ventures. Rapport is using these funds to commercialize low-cost, multiprocessor chips that can be dynamically configured for compute-intensive applications at low power.

Rapport, as a member of the Power.org community, is poised to deliver acceleration and efficient computing energy to IBM PowerPC's large application base. Kilocore is an ideal architecture for the high-growth, handheld market demanding higher computing performance at lower power and cost.

Rapport is also pleased to announce that industry veteran, Frank Sinton, has joined the company as President and COO. Over his 30 year career, Mr. Sinton founded and ran numerous technology start-ups including MediLife Software, a pioneer in using PCs for health care; Aspen Security, and Raman Medical. As co-founder and CEO of Think Technologies, a market leader in Macintosh tools, development environments, and compilers, Mr. Sinton led Think to profitability and a successful sale to Symantec. Mr. Sinton was also Managing Director at investment bank Standard (USA) Morgan and a Union Carbide executive.
