Meru Networks Introduces New Channel Program for Wireless Voice over IP Solutions

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Meru Networks, the global leader in wireless VoIP infrastructure, today announced a multi-tiered channel partner program designed to give VARs and integrators the training and tools necessary to successfully sell wireless VoIP solutions to end user customers. The Meru Channel Partner Program benefits channel partners by recognizing and rewarding their focus and commitment to selling and supporting Meru's wireless VoIP products. Simultaneously, the program ensures that end user customers can purchase products from a highly-trained, expert channel that understands and supports both their VoIP and wireless LAN needs.

The new Partner Program is an important part of Meru's sales and marketing strategy for its Wireless LAN System, the only WLAN solution on the market that is purpose-built to handle the requirements of delivering voice and data over Wi-Fi. The primary objective of the new partner program is to build a team of focused, technically superior channel partners who can assist end user customers in deploying converged voice and data wireless networks.
"Successfully selling wireless VoIP solutions requires knowledge and expertise in both the enterprise VoIP and wireless LAN markets," said Fred Corsentino, vice president of sales at Meru Networks. "Our new partner program identifies and rewards those partners who achieve this high level of proficiency. Meru benefits from expanded reach, increased sales opportunities and a broader solutions portfolio, and our partners benefit by being able to differentiate their offerings, capitalize on two very high-growth markets and address end user needs. He added, "Finally, the end customers can rely upon a well-trained channel to provide best-of-breed VoIP and WLAN solutions to meet their specific needs. The program is a win for everyone involved."
The Meru Channel Partner Program includes three tiers -- Meru Authorized Partner (MAP), Meru VoIP Mobility Partner (MVP) and Meru Wireless Partner (MWP) -- each of which identifies a set of revenue, educational and support requirements and associated benefits. Organizations that achieve MVP and MWP levels will have a greater focus on serving the enterprise WLAN and VoIP markets and will have achieved more extensive training, certification and technical expertise in these two areas.
"As a leading provider of integrated networked solutions, enterprise customers turn to us not only for best-of-breed technologies, but also a first-class support system," said Monte Seifers, Director of Technology of Converged Solutions Group, Nashville, TN., a Meru Voice Mobility Partner. "With its comprehensive product training, marketing and sales tools, the Meru Channel Partner Program helps us exceed customers' expectations on both fronts."
Katie Brown, Channel Relations Manager for Microtech Information Systems, Rochester, N.Y., a Meru Wireless Partner, agreed. "Meru's Channel Partner Program clearly demonstrates that Meru is attentive to the needs of its channel partners and is committed to helping them achieve their sales objectives."
Microtech and Meru partnered to deliver a state-of-the-art wireless network to Hobart and William Smith Colleges (HWS) for its 170-acre campus in Geneva, N.Y. With the solution provided by the two companies, HWS successfully implemented a WLAN that effectively manages co-channel interference, improves coverage and delivers reliable, high-performance wireless connectivity for the Colleges' ever-growing number of users and applications.
"The combination of Meru's WLAN System and Microtech's support and service has helped us meet the growing demand for anytime, anywhere access amongst our students, faculty and staff," said Mike Ruiz, Network and Enterprise Systems Engineer, for HWS. "With our new wireless network, we've been able to dramatically simplify planning, deployment and management, saving both time and money."
The Meru Channel Partner Program will take effect immediately.
