[January 28, 2005] New Territories Use Enlight Certification Services; Kosovo, India and Pakistan Use Secure Online Certification Tweet STOCKHOLM, Sweden --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 28, 2005 -- Enlight has now added Kosovo to the number of territories served by the Enlight online ECDL testing and certification services. Combined with India and Pakistan added a year earlier, this increases the number of nationwide certifications served by Enlight to nineteen. The test volumes are initially low in the added territories, resulting in limited additional revenues for Enlight during 2005 and 2006. Since the territories are served using Enlight's online service Enlight.net, no additional offices or personnel are required from Enlight. Kosovo is the latest territory launching a certification program using the Enlight.net online service. The service is used for the ECDL/ICDL certification programme, the leading global basic IT skills certification. The programme is launched in Kosovo by the company smart bits under supervision of the Swiss ECDL organisation, ECDL Switzerland AG. "Secure and efficient test delivery with low bandwidth requirements is critical for us", says Bekim Kasumi of smart bits in Pristina, Kosovo. "Further, automated central administration of test centres and test results enables major cost savings for our operations." Kosovo uses a complete solution for ECDL licensees, localised to the Albanian language. The solution includes diagnostic and certification tests in Albanian and English, all delivered and updated from the central Enlight online service. The solution allows local test centres to manage secure supervised testing and reporting locally using online tools, and provides reporting and administration for central Certification Management in real time.
