ALLTEL, Summus Offer Mobile Version of The Wall Street Journal Online

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 25, 2005 -- ALLTEL wireless customers now can access the new mobile edition of The Wall Street Journal Online.

"The Wall Street Journal Mobile" provides business news and personalized portfolio information along with market and stock data to wireless phones. This newest addition to ALLTEL's suite of products was developed by Summus, Inc., a provider of mobile media applications, in partnership with The Wall Street Journal Online.

Customers can subscribe to the downloadable application for $3.99 per month through ALLTEL's Axcess Shop on select handsets including the Motorola V710, T720 and V262; Audiovox CDM 8410 and 8910; and the LGLX 5450, 5550 and 3200.

"We are thrilled to partner with Summus to provide our wireless customers with the ability to track the latest news as well as the stock quotes and personal portfolios that are vital to them," said Laura Cook, vice president of wireless marketing for ALLTEL.

Untethered from the desktop, "The Wall Street Journal Mobile" brings many of the Journal's most popular features to the wireless phone, including an easy-to-use interface; comprehensive financial news coverage from the Online Journal; in-depth market diaries; personalized portfolio tracking, and individualized watch-lists.

"Offering ALLTEL customers 'The Wall Street Journal Mobile,' a product Summus initially announced in November, reinforces our specialized focus of bringing branded applications to the mass market while allowing users to personalize their cell phones or other mobile devices to fit individual needs," said Gary Ban, CEO of Summus.

ALLTEL is a customer-focused communications company with more than 13 million customers and $8 billion in annual revenues. ALLTEL provides wireless, local telephone, long-distance, Internet and broadband services to residential and business customers in 26 states.
