Plantronics Showcases Award-winning Headsets at Consumer Electronics Show

LAS VEGAS, Consumer Electronics Show 2005, Jan. 6
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Plantronics elevates headset design with two new products -- the new wireless headset system for use with both Bluetooth mobile devices and office phones, and a unique mobile headset with superior sound quality and unsurpassed comfortable fit. These products have received Innovation awards from the CES Design and Engineering organization for their designs and technological advances.

Plantronics multipoint Bluetooth headset system, model L510S, simplifies communication with one wireless headset that seamlessly switches between office phones and voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phones, laptops and PDAs. The new system won the "Best of Innovations" title in the SOHO category.
The new MX500 mobile headset, an Innovations honoree in the accessories category, features patent-pending WindSmart(TM) technology for crisp, clear conversations in noisy environments and under-the-ear design for exceptional comfort and stability.
"Plantronics transfers its expertise in mission-critical applications for NASA, the FAA, and the U.S. military into our new consumer products," said Mark Breier, Chief Marketing Officer of Plantronics. "We offer high-quality sound in stylish, comfortable headsets for mobile and office professionals, VoIP users, console and PC gamers, and music listeners."
Plantronics GameCom(TM) Halo 2 Edition headset, designed to deliver superior voice communication for intense Xbox Live(TM) gameplay, received honors in the gaming category for the "Technology is a Girl's Best Friend" showcase.
Plantronics will demonstrate these award-winning solutions, and new VoIP and music products in the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 3, booth #31134.
