Nimcat Networks Releases nimXTM for Windows

Miami, Florida (February 23, 2005) - Nimcat Networks, the premiere provider of embedded, peer-to-peer (P2P) call processing software, is announcing the availability of nimXTM for Windows. Showcased with nimPhoneTM, users can now experience all of the benefits of a nimXTM-enabled hard phone with the convenience of a PC-centric approach.

nimXTM - Nimcat Networks' P2P call processing software - takes the intelligence usually found in the PBX and distributes it to the end-user communication devise. Phones that contain Nimcat's technology independently recognize the other terminals on the network and instantly form a trusted, virtual exchange with the ability to interact with their peers, connect to the PSTN or any WAN VoIP channel.

Users only need to power up a nimXTM-enabled phone or softphone and watch while it automatically configures itself, allowing calls to be made and received within minutes without any additional complex setup or centralized equipment. Call-control, voice-mail, auto-attendant and teleworker, among other key features, are all contained within and powered by the IP telephone or softphone.

Nimcat has leveraged this architecture to properly address the telephony needs of the small-to-medium business (SMB). By eliminating the need for a "central" piece of equipment, Nimcat has developed a low-cost solution that is simple to install and maintain, and more importantly, easy to use.

Nimcat Networks is showcasing the nimPhoneTM - powered by nimXTM for Windows - at booth #217 during the Internet Telephony Conference in Miami, between February 22nd and 25th, 2005.
