Interstar's XMediusFAX SP Will Be Spotlighted as an IP Telephony Killer App at Internet Telephony Conference & Expo Next Week in Miami

MONTREAL --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 16, 2005 -- Interstar Technologies:

-- Interstar Technologies is one of 4 companies to take center-stage on February 24 with its T.38, multi-tenant Fax Over IP solution for service providers and large enterprises

Interstar Technologies (www.faxserver.com), the world-leading developer of enterprise IP fax solutions, will be spotlighted at the Internet Telephony Conference & Expo next week. Its XMediusFAX(R) SP product will take center-stage as a Special Attraction at Tehrani's IP Telephony Killer App Demo Days(TM). Interstar will present a 45-minute, live stage demo of its XMediusFAX SP Fax Over IP solution, February 24, in Orchid C, from 2:00 - 2:45 pm.

In addition to the stage demo, Interstar Technologies will also be exhibiting at the Internet Telephony Conference & Expo to launch version 4.6 of its XMediusFAX SP solution. The company will be in booth 104, February 22-25 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami, FL (http://www.tmcnet.com/voip/conference/M05/).

XMediusFAX SP is the industry's first T.38, multi-tenant Fax Over IP solution. It is designed specifically for service providers and large enterprises requiring support for multiple T1s on a single server. The product partitions your networks into hundreds of virtual fax servers, each with their own settings, queues, and administrators. It also enables faxes to be shared in a common inbox, along with email data and voicemail.

In addition to being a boardless solution, XMediusFAX SP can also interoperate with fax boards to leverage existing telecom architecture. From an administrator's point of view, it provides for centralized and secure planning, monitoring, delegation and management of fax services for multiple sites in geographically-dispersed locations.

Users can send and receive faxes directly from desktop email clients and applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office 2003, or from any T.37-compliant multifunction device (MFD). This dramatically streamlines faxing, reduces costs and boosts productivity.

Tradeshow visitors will witness key product benefits, such XMediusFAX SP's:

-- Mission-critical fault tolerance for 24/7 reliability

-- Ability to centralize or delegate fax server administration

-- Dual capabilities to operate boardless (an industry-first) or with fax boards

-- Java API/Web provisioning

-- OCR SPAM filtering

-- Integration with call control platforms (SIP proxies)

"Service providers and large enterprises will appreciate XMediusFAX SP's built-in fault tolerant technology, high scalability, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for reliable and secure data transfer," said Martin Demers, CEO of Interstar. "First introduced to the market last year, XMediusFAX SP has been successfully deployed by large customers such as TriWest Healthcare Alliance, which has 86 offices spanning 21 states. TriWest selected XMediusFAX because it is cost-effective and facilitates compliance to the stringent governmental, regulatory and security requirements it faces." The product uses standards-compliant ODBC, JDBC, SQL, Java/CORBA and XML (for broadcast fax) technologies to integrate into automated document workflows.

XMediusFAX SP is an ultra-scalable solution that centrally archives all fax transactions in an SQL database that is scalable to millions of inbound and outbound entries.
