National Lampoon Goes Wireless; Text, Graphics, Audio, Video and Ringtones to Be Distributed by Starwave Mobile

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 15, 2005 -- The biggest name in comedy is going wireless.

National Lampoon, Inc. (OTCBB:NLPN), in conjunction with Starwave Mobile, announced today that it is creating a National Lampoon-branded wireless content service.

The service, expected to officially debut this spring, will include audio, video, text and graphics and feature original material from www.nationallampoon.com, the company's primary web property; the National Lampoon Network, the fastest-growing independent college television network in the country which reaches more than 600 campuses and nearly 5 million young adults in their dorm rooms; and the National Lampoon Radio Hour, the all-new nationally-syndicated sketch comedy show hosted by Richard Belzer.

"National Lampoon is the first name in comedy. Working with Starwave Mobile and its network of industry relationships will enable our brand to reach the millions of young adults for whom wireless devices are a part of their everyday lives," said Douglas S. Bennett, National Lampoon's president.

"We are excited to add National Lampoon, one of the leading brands in comedy, to the growing list of quality content published by Starwave Mobile," said Larry Shapiro, executive vice president and general manager, Starwave Mobile. "This new addition is a great example of the diversity of our lineup and our strategy to expand into key demographics."

"The launch of our new National Lampoon service will be backed by a full-scale marketing program utilizing all of our National Lampoon assets. We plan to let millions of our fans know about our new service on-air via our in-dorm college cable television network, on-line at our website www.nationallampoon.com and on-the-ground through our National Lampoon touring events on-campus and at Spring Break," said Douglas S. Bennett.

Starwave Mobile maintains key relationships with all of the major U.S. carriers including Verizon, Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile and others.
