[December 23, 2005] DJ JohnsonDiversey Names Edward Lonergan As Pres, CEO Tweet (Comtex Business)WASHINGTON, Dec 23, 2005 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) --JohnsonDiversey Inc. said Friday that its board has appointed Edward F. Lonergan as president and chief executive officer, effective Feb. 13, 2006. Lonergan, 46 years old, has also been appointed president and CEO of JohnsonDiversey Holdings Inc., the holding company of JohnsonDiversey Inc., a cleaning products provider, according to a Form 8-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Lonergan will replace Gregory E. Lawton, who announced his retirement in September. Lawton will remain as president and CEO of JohnsonDiversey and the holding company until Feb. 13, 2006, and will remain with the company until the transition is completed during the first quarter of fiscal 2006, the filing said. Lonergan will also replace Lawton as a director of JohnsonDiversey and the holding company. Lonergan has previously served as president of the European region for Gillette Co. (G) and has held a variety of positions with Procter & Gamble Co.
