Fathom Online Appoints Directory Marketing Veteran to Head Its Channel Management and Marketing; Search Engine Marketing Leader Taps Former Wahlstrom Interactive President, Gregg Stewart

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- April 26, 2005 -- Fathom Online, a leading search engine marketing company, announced today the appointment of Gregg Stewart, to the position of Senior Vice President of Channel Management and Marketing. Reporting directly to Fathom Online CEO Chris Churchill, Stewart will spearhead efforts to combine advertising media opportunities and optimization services under one roof creating the industry's most robust end-to-end search engine marketing solution today.

Stewart was formerly president of Wahlstrom Interactive, the leading online marketing provider in the directory advertising space and division of Wahlstrom Group, a unit of Interpublic Group. As founder of the interactive arm of the company in 1995, he guided the agency's progression into the online directory and search engine marketing environments. During his tenure, he successfully developed and executed award-winning interactive campaigns for blue chip brands, including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hilton Hotels, Sears and General Electric.

"Gregg's strategic vision, to create a holistic solution for advertisers with search and Fathom's conversion optimization services is paramount to our direction," said Chris Churchill. "SEMs often leave the advertiser hanging by only focusing on one part of the problem. For SEM to be most effective it is imperative to concentrate on optimizing website landing pages to ensure converting the maximum amount of traffic into sales."

Stewart first joined Wahlstrom Group in 1985 as an account executive, where he worked on advertising programs targeted to the world's oldest search engine -- the Yellow Pages. His strategic guidance, development of optimized advertising campaigns and new business sales efforts led to the growth of the agency's revenue and the eventual inception of Wahlstrom Interactive.

"Marketers are continually seeking better ways to reach online consumers and to turn these customers into repeat purchasers of their products," said Stewart. "Fathom is at the forefront of many key SEM market trends, and I'm looking forward to working with this team on strategic initiatives to move the company forward."
