DANVILLE, Va. --(Business Wire)-- April 21, 2005 -- Telvista, Inc. raised flags in ceremonial grandeur to mark the grand opening of its new contact center in Danville, Va., which will house at least 500 customer contact representatives by mid-2007.

The brief ceremony brought together Telvista executives including President and CEO Higinio Sanchez. State and local officials also joined in the festivities including City Manager Jerry Gwaltney, Economic Development Director Ron Bunch, Danny Marshall of the Virginia House of Delegates and Tom Arthur, Southside Chairman of the Tobacco Commission.

"We believe in doing the right thing for the communities in which we live and work, just as we do for our clients," said Telvista CEO Higinio Sanchez in a speech addressing those attending a private reception and luncheon immediately following the flag-raising ceremony. "We hope that our partnership with the city of Danville will be an example to more companies looking for a place to grow and employ honest, skilled workers."


The facility brings together innovations in use of color and floor space, natural light, energy efficiency, ergonomics and breakthrough technology never before seen in use in the contact center industry. The facility is designed to maximize productivity by providing energy and comfort to those who work within its walls.

The center is expected to facilitate hundreds of thousands of customer contacts per year via phone, email, chat, and Interactive Voice Response. VistaStats(TM), the Six-Sigma based quality methodology in use elsewhere at Telvista, will be used and refined to continually improve the efficiency and quality of these customer contacts in Danville.

Telvista began training classes in Danville in February 2005, and took the first calls in the new facility during March 2005. The company has already hired over 70 people and is still hiring for both entry-level and management positions, including Managers, Trainers, Supervisors, and a Facilities Manager.
