CORRECTION: Surgical Information Systems Selected by Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center to Improve Surgical Workflow

ATLANTA --(Business Wire)-- April 20, 2005 --

NOTE: In a recent press release, Surgical Information Systems (SIS) indicated that its technology solution for the surgery department was selected by Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center as part of a total enterprise package through a strategic partnership with Eclipsys. This statement was incorrect. The SIS sale to Bronx-Lebanon was not part of the strategic partnership with Eclipsys, nor was Eclipsys involved in the sale. We regret this error, and have republished the corrected press release below.

Surgical Information Systems (SIS), a leading provider of total perioperative information systems, announced today that Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, the largest not-for-profit health care system serving the South and Central Bronx, will implement SIS Scheduling, Standard Reports, Nursing and Rules Based Charging. Critical to Bronx Lebanon's decision to go with SIS was their need for timely and accurate OR utilization, block, and cost analysis reports for effective daily management. SIS provided them with the most attractive solution to improve surgical workflow which ultimately will enhance patient safety and financial productivity.

"The biggest challenge facing Bronx Lebanon was the efficient management of their day-to-day business activities," said Scott L'Heureux, SIS president and COO. "Once we got involved, we identified the need for tailored, prompt and comprehensive reporting capabilities; without them, it is impossible for hospitals to make significant clinical, operational and financial process improvements in the O.R." added L'Heureux.

Surgical Information Systems (SIS) provides automated intelligence across the entire perioperative continuum, empowering hospitals to enhance patient care and business operations. SIS centralizes and unites all information exchanged between the people, processes and resources associated with surgery to deliver fast, accurate and comprehensive information precisely when it is needed most - at the scheduling desk, point-of-care, O.R. control center, surgeon's office, with materials management, and in the executive boardroom. Surgical Information Systems is the exclusive technology provider of the Eclipsys Sunrise Surgical solution (NASDAQ: ECLP), and holds strategic partnerships with both Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) Corporations.
