The Accton ES4825 supports 24 ports of Gigabit Ethernet and a modular slot for 10-Gigabit uplinks in a compact 1RU form factor. Based on Greenfield's Packetry switching silicon architecture and IP Infusion's ZebOS Advanced Routing Suite and Advanced Integration Suite (ARS & AIS), the ES4825 delivers full Layer 2 and Layer 3 metro Ethernet services, including IPv6, MPLS, VPLS, stacked VLANs, and VLAN translation, across all ports at wire speed. The heart of the ES4825 is the Greenfield Packetry family, which enables the most feature-rich Ethernet switching solution in the industry. Packetry delivers robust Layer 2/3/4 packet processing capabilities, including IPv6 routing in hardware and extensive Quality of Service (QoS). The Packetry classification and traffic management functions enable voice over IP and other converged applications that require flow-based priority and bandwidth distribution across the network.
