Enterprise Management World Conference Announces Formal Call for Presentations for September 2005 Event

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- April 18, 2005 --

Presentation Proposal Deadline: Friday, May 13

IDG's Computerworld, "The Voice of IT Management," today announced the formal call for presentations for their Enterprise Management World (EMW) Conference, September 12 - 14, 2005, at the Marriott Bethesda North Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Co-owned by Computerworld and the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) -- the industry organization leading the development of management standards and integration technology for enterprise and Internet environments -- EMW is the industry's only enterprise IT management conference focused on the rapid growth of distributed management technologies and the convergence of management domains for the data center and the communications infrastructure. Submissions are now being accepted at http://www.emwusa.com/call_for_presentations.html.

At EMW, IT executives and managers responsible for implementing data center and enterprise management projects, as well as technology experts, architects and engineers, will convene to share valuable information about management applications that support the infrastructures of successful enterprises and organizations. EMW is accepting submissions through May 13, 2005. Speakers submitting presentation proposals to EMW should be prepared to address an audience of CIOs, CTOs, VPs and directors or managers of IT from mid-sized and larger enterprises.

"We're looking forward to a strong line-up for this year's Enterprise Management World (EMW). As data center and enterprise management initiatives continue to become a priority for enterprises, understanding the technologies and applications that drive them is critical," said Winston Bumpus, president, DMTF. "EMW provides the ideal venue for the IT industry to share its expertise and provide 'real life' solutions, case studies, education and the perspectives of industry luminaries to IT professionals charged with managing today's enterprise and Internet environments."

While not required for submission, representatives of IT end-user companies are the most preferred presenters. EMW recommends that representatives of IT vendor organizations ask and/or facilitate securing an IT end-user to present. For representatives of IT vendor organizations that prefer to submit an executive speaker from their company (rather than an IT end-user customer/executive), EMW strongly recommends the vendor representative proposes their senior-most executive (CEO or COO) as those titles are the most likely vendor speakers to be considered. All proposed presenters are encouraged to submit presentation proposals relevant to the following mandatory content areas:

-- Managing the Distributed Enterprise

-- Managing the Emerging Utility/Grid Computing Infrastructure

-- Network and Communications Management

-- Networked Server and Storage Management

-- Enterprise Security Management

-- Compliance and Regulatory IT

-- Data Center and Infrastructure Considerations

-- Systems Integration and Interoperability

-- Return on Investment (ROI) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

-- CTO & CIO Insights

-- Managing Deployment of Emerging Technologies and Standards
