TMC Launches World’s First Communications Technology "Podcast"Norwalk, CT, [April 5, 2005] — Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) announced today the launch of the world's first communications “Podcast.” Podcasts are radio-like programs of commentary, music, or humor, which are saved in MP3 audio format and posted online. Listeners are automatically notified via RSS or XML feed when a new Podcast is available. Podcasts have grown in prominence along with Weblogs, the online diaries that serve as alternative news sources. TMC’s Podcasts will enhance their leadership role as an innovator delivering news and analysis on contact centers/CRM, and VoIP. Through their Web site, TMCnet, TMC also offers XML and RSS feeds, keyword news alerts, trackback pinging, and now this. "It was only a matter of time before TMC took the lead to announce a Podcast in communications.
