PINK ELEPHANT PRESENTS MEXICO’S FIRST ANNUAL IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

Government Keynote To Discuss Mexico’s IT Strategy At Prominent Technology Event

TORONTO, ON – April 5, 2005 – Pink Elephant (www.pinkelephant.com), a global leader in IT service management best practices, is presenting its inaugural Latin American IT Service Management Conference and Exhibition from April 20 to 21, 2005 at the InterContinental Hotel Presidente IC in Mexico City. This is the first major event that Pink Elephant will be hosting in Mexico since establishing an office in the capital city in 2004.

The Mexico conference is a regional adaptation of Pink Elephant’s larger annual international conference, which it has delivered to increasing audiences for the past nine years. The event has gained recognition as the largest event dedicated to the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®). Over 1,000 IT professionals gathered for the company’s most recent annual conference in Orlando, Florida, setting a new attendance record.

For leading companies operating in Latin America’s second largest IT market, the Mexican conference will convey the benefits of integrating people, process and technology using the ITIL framework.

“Mexican companies can experience tremendous results by applying the same standardized set of best practices already adopted by numerous organizations around the world,” says Eduardo Reynoso, regional director of Pink Elephant, Latin America. “Our experts will explain how to attain increased competitiveness and improved resource utilization with immediate action plans and long-term approaches, all at one event.”

Keynote speaker Abraham Sotelo, Director of the Government of Mexico’s Electronic Government Unit, will outline his country’s future plans for the development of Information Technology. Digital government is a strategy identified in President Vicente Fox’s ‘Agenda Of Good Government’, one that aims to utilize IT to reduce corruption, permit transparency of public administration and to provide higher quality services. As strategy leader, Mr. Sotelo has created a public portal for citizens to access all levels of government services from a single point.

The two-day conference will contain three dynamic educational tracks to give attendees a customized learning experience: Creating Strategic Value With IT Service Management, Best Practices For ITIL Project Management, and Pink University. Attendees will also have the chance to meet with a Pink Elephant expert for a one-on-one consulting session.

The IT Service Management Conference and Exhibition is taking place at the InterContinental Hotel Presidente IC, a AAA Four Diamond resort in Mexico City. A room block has been reserved for the participants of the conference with a special rate.
