2004 MBG Conference to Address Telecommunications Expense Management and the Impact of Sarbanes-Oxley

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- MBG, Inc., will host its annual Xchange Conference on telecommunications expense management on October 19-20, 2004, at the SoHo Grand Hotel in New York, NY. The meeting will address the telecommunications-related cost control needs of Fortune 500 and large, multi- national companies that spend over $30 million annually in telecom services.

The theme of the conference will center on reducing costs by automating telecommunications expense management and improving processes. Specific topics covered during the conference will also include: the impact of Sarbanes-Oxley on reporting telecommunications and IT expenses, how MBG clients are implementing electronic interfaces (eBonding) with carriers, centralizing the managing of Local Exchange Carriers (LEC's) billing, and showing the new developments and features being added to the MBG platform.
Vince Vittore, Executive Editor of Telephony Magazine, and Contributing Writer at Wireless Review, will give the keynote address on emerging trends in the telecommunications industry. He will also discuss how Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) and wireless technologies are changing the way telecommunications and IT managers purchase services.
"The past year companies have been focused on improving processes and efficiencies associated with managing their telecommunication expenses to improve their overall bottom line," said Richard Simons, Chief Operating Officer, MBG. "At our conference, we want to give attendees the opportunity to interact with other attendees, so they can learn about different ways other companies are managing their telecommunication expenses, along with increasing their knowledge on relevant issues associated with telecommunications management. At MBG, our focus is on helping organizations reduce expenses through our provisioning, invoice processing and presentation, IT inventory, and chargeback solutions, and efficiently implement processes that satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley regulations," adds Simons.
