Kevin Power, a Seasoned Telecom Veteran, Joins Popular Telephony Advisory Board

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 28, 2004 -- Power Brings Service Provider Experience, Acting as an Advisor to the Company to Guide and Expand Its Peer-to-Peer VoIP Carrier Initiatives

Popular Telephony Inc., a telecommunications middleware company, welcomes Kevin Power as a new member of the company's Advisory Board. With reputable leadership and operations expertise in the service provider environment, Mr. Power will provide key strategic guidance for the company's carrier initiatives introducing Peerio(TM) Serverless Telephony technology to the telecom service provider and operator networks.

Mr. Power has more than 20 years experience in telecommunications with a variety of companies, including extensive experience with two very high-profile startups. He is currently the Chairman of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA), a member of the Board of Directors of Viatel and a former member of the Board of Universal Access.


From 1994-2000, Power held senior management positions in Global Telesystems Group, co-founded and served as a Managing Director of GTS Monaco Access, a joint venture with the Principality of Monaco from before moving to London as President of Wholesale Services in 1999. Prior to that, Power's experience included senior management positions with Orion Network Systems and INTELSAT, as well as several years of consulting activity.

Younger, the former President and COO of Expanets, currently the Founding Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of the Enterprise Communications Association.
