Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Launches New Web Site at http://Kentucky.gov FRANKFORT, Ky. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 22, 2004 -- The Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet has a new online presence. The Web site, which was announced yesterday by Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence, can be accessed through the state's official Web portal at http://Kentucky.gov or directly at http://justice.ky.gov."The Internet has become a central resource for transmitting information to people across this great state," said Lieutenant Governor Pence. "Consequently, it is essential to streamline the Cabinet's Web site to make it easier for users to access. I want to thank Kentucky.gov and the hardworking folks at the Cabinet who have made this launch a success." The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet's Web site is made possible through a partnership with the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and Kentucky.gov, the state's official Web site. The new Web site offers an array of resources found within the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. Links allow users to read the current Cabinet headlines, report missing children, find crime statistics, and research sex offenders in their communities. The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is comprised of the Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Criminal Justice Training, the Kentucky State Police, the Department of Public Advocacy and the Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement. In addition, the Cabinet's divisions include the Parole Board, Office of Investigations, Office of Legal Services, Office of Drug Control Policy, Grants Management Branch and the State Medical Examiner's office.
