Give the Gift of Health with the Journey to the Wild Divine

ELDORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 22, 2004 -- Combining Spirituality with Technology, Unique Computer Game Provides Entertaining Mind and Body Wellness

Do you have someone that could be classified as "stressed out" on your shopping list this holiday season? If so, help them reduce their chances of suffering headaches, ulcers, sleep disturbances and even heart disease by giving them a gift that painlessly reduces stress and improves overall health in a fun and entertaining way.

The Journey to the Wild Divine is a new, cutting-edge computer game for both PCs and Macs that is endorsed by Deepak Chopra, M.D. The first in a trilogy of games, developed by The Wild Divine Project, The Journey combines the technology of biofeedback with interactive lessons and meditation exercises. According to Chopra, "The Journey helps people understand the body-mind-spirit continuum and how a few concentrated minutes of deep breathing can have long-lasting health effects."

As players walk through the game's events, they are asked to participate in different relaxation exercises. Sensor rings slipped over three fingers monitor heart rate variability and physical and emotional tension levels. While playing the game, the player must achieve the desired effect upon both physical and emotional states before moving to the next level. Because of this unique biofeedback element, there is no way to win the game without truly letting go of the day's stress.

For example, while standing on the edge of a beautiful cliff, a player must build a bridge to a sacred temple in order to reach the next level. To build this bridge, the player must emulate the "breathing pattern" of a nearby tree, breathing in the ancient yogic rhythm of the "heart breath" as the tree expands and contracts in the wind. As the player's heartbeat slows with each rhythmic breath, they are rewarded as the golden stairs to the palace slowly appear.

The Journey is sold online at www.wilddivine.com for $159.99. A bonus CD-ROM including excerpts from Chopra's new book, The Book of Secrets, and an interview with Chopra discussing biofeedback and The Journey, is an added bonus sold with all versions for the holiday season.
