AutoOne Selects Opus Group's Performance Management Solution

CHICAGO --(Business Wire)-- Oct. 26, 2004 -- Assigned Risk Insurance Carrier Aims to Achieve World-Class Customer Service in Underwriting

Opus Group, a leader in performance management solutions for the insurance industry, announced its partnership with AutoOne Insurance, an Assigned Risk servicing carrier and Personal Automobile Insurance organization. AutoOne has engaged Opus to build upon its performance successes in its customer service and underwriting operations. The Opus Group Performance Management solution for AutoOne includes Opus Suite Performance Analytics software and expert process optimization and training services.



AutoOne provides a broad spectrum of automobile insurance products from Assigned Risk LAD services, to voluntary automobile offerings including Private Passenger, Physical Damage and unique Take-out policies that help to depopulate the New York Assigned Risk Plan pool. AutoOne currently writes policies in New York and New Jersey, two states with the most complex environments in the industry and will be expanding their Assigned Risk operations into Pennsylvania, Texas, Connecticut, Vermont, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maine and California by 2005. In order to manage this complexity, AutoOne developed manual management team reports that were used to discuss and handle business for the coming day. This approach was yielding benefits, but information accuracy was difficult to ensure and the collection of information was very labor intensive.

AutoOne's goal was to improve visibility and ultimately drive an even greater service level at a lower cost. The Opus Suite Performance Analytics technology was implemented on top of newly optimized business processes to deliver new operational metrics for measuring effectiveness. In addition, optional Opus Suite modules - Workload Management, Workforce Management and Quality Management - were implemented to strengthen execution capabilities and provide the credible data needed to drive the analytics.
