Sprint and TBS, Inc. Announce Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile to Expand Multimedia Channel Lineup

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) today announced the launch of two additional multimedia channels -- Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile. Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile will provide streaming video and audio content for Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services. The new content expands the Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services portfolio of streaming audio and video delivered directly to Sprint subscribers over the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network (CDMA1X). Sprint customers who subscribe to Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services are able to access more than 600 streaming video and audio clips every day, covering the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment.

Drawing from the world's largest cartoon library, Cartoon Network Mobile's offering will feature video clips from the network's original series, including The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. Adult Swim is Cartoon Network's signature late-night block of animation for grownups. Adult Swim Mobile will provide video clips from original productions, including Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, The Venture Bros., Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021. Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile will be available on Channels 10 and 11, respectively. Each channel will cost $3.95 a month for Sprint PCS Vision customers. Cartoon Network joins sister network CNN (Channel 2) as a multimedia channel on the Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Service.

Customers who subscribe to Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services can select from a variety of channel options ranging in content and price from $3.95 to $9.99 per month. The content providers offer new clips continually every day ensuring the content is fresh and current. The service offers a wide range of content for everyone -- from late-breaking world events to made- for-mobile movies or red-carpet arrivals to those animated friends that keep you and your children entertained. Once a channel has been purchased, it is listed under "My Channels." The preview channel and any promotional channels will automatically appear under the My Channels listing. Customers may also choose to subscribe to the Sprint Multimedia Pack and receive Sprint TV, a compilation channel which includes news, sport and entertainment, along with unlimited Sprint PCS Vision, Picture Mail(SM), Video Mail and 100 SMS text messages for $25.00 per month. All multimedia services plans are in addition to voice calling.
