CompuDyne to Resume Stock Buyback Program; Purchases Expected to Boost Shareholder Value; 2005 Outlook Remains Very Good
ANNAPOLIS, Md. --(Business Wire)-- Oct. 12, 2004 -- CompuDyne Corporation (Nasdaq:CDCY) an industry leader in sophisticated security products, integration and technology for the public security markets, today announced that it intends to resume its already authorized stock buyback program.
The Company believes that, given the good outlook for 2005, and the relatively low current market price of the Company's common stock, that a modest program of stock repurchases at this level to offset potential option exercises and other sources of dilution would be a good use of available funds.
Any purchases under the buyback program will be dependent on the market price of the company's stock, but could amount to as many as 400,000 shares at current levels.
Certain statements made in this press release constitute "forward-looking statements" within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, including those statements concerning the Company's expectations with respect to future operating results and other events.
