Convergys Promotes New Executive

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Convergys Corporation , a global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, announces the appointment of Jim Sink to be Convergys' new vice president of North American Wireline Program Delivery in its Information Management Group (IMG). His responsibilities include ensuring successful delivery of Convergys software to top wireline communications clients and overseeing professional services delivery.


Sink reports to William Opet, president of Cable, Broadband and Wireline for IMG.
Opet said this new appointment reflects the high commitment Convergys has to its' clients. "Convergys recognizes the great talent we have within our company. Prior to his current position, Sink was vice president of Customer Experience for WhisperWire, a company acquired by Convergys in May 2004.
Previously, Sink was vice president of Global Services for 724 Solutions, a wireless solutions provider for the financial services industry. He has also held positions with TANTAU Software and Lotus Development, an IBM company.
Sink earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University. He is based in Austin.
