NuMarkets Strengthens Leadership Position in eBay Selling and Shipping Industry and Announces Expansion into Sevierville, TN

ETOWAH, Tenn. --(Business Wire)-- Nov. 3, 2004 -- NuMarkets, the pioneer of eBay consignment selling and shipping centers for the public and businesses, announced today it has reached a definitive agreement with D&S Ventures, LLC to open NuMarkets locations in Sevierville, Maryville, and an additional location in the Knoxville, TN. The first location in Sevierville, TN is scheduled to open November 15th. The location of the new NuMarkets is 452 Forks of the River Parkway, Sevierville, TN. NuMarkets will be announcing further expansion plans in Memphis, TN; Little Rock, AR; and Asheville, NC.

"Our strategy to focus on a geographic density deployment is working. If people know about NuMarkets' selling and shipping services and the power of eBay to sell things, they will use them," said Russ Grove, President & CEO of NuMarkets. "We now have NuMarkets Selling and Shipping Centers in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Cleveland, Etowah, TN; Calhoun, GA and Raleigh, NC. The expansion into Sevierville and Maryville, TN allows us to concentrate our marketing message to further deploy our marketing penetration in a concentrated region. In the early days of this industry, creating awareness and brand identity to the public and businesses is the number one challenge. NuMarkets' engine of through-put and centralized commerce services support is in place, which produces a 6 to 12 times greater daily volume of items. In addition, we charge the public 14% less than our closest national competitors. The key to proving our center's economic model is greater participation for selling services from the local communities we support and increased awareness of our stand-alone shipping business as we approach the holiday season. Marketing becomes the major driver to bring customers to our front door," according to Grove. "We are very pleased to have Scott Johnson and David Fleenor, the owners of our new NuMarkets franchise, join our team and help create the awareness of the NuMarkets' selling and shipping centers."

"We did our homework on other companies in the space NuMarkets has pioneered and the conclusion was simple: NuMarkets has developed information systems, back-end commerce support services, in-store operational capabilities and marketing programs far superior to any others offered in the industry," said David Fleenor, CEO of the new NuMarkets franchise. "We are eager to get to work to bring NuMarkets' selling and shipping capabilities to Maryville, Sevierville and expansion in Knoxville. eBay is a powerful tool to reach the global economy and our services make it easy for the public and business sellers to reach the world's markets. Just bring your items to us and NuMarkets helps you sell them on eBay, it's that simple," said Scott Johnson, COO of the new NuMarkets franchise.
