(Logo: NewsCom: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20020627/CSGSLOGO ) The CSG Kenan(R) Energy and Utilities software suite includes the world- class CSG Kenan(R)/BP billing platform and pre-integrated modules specifically designed to address the needs of the energy and utilities market. It is designed to give Italgas Piu the ability to streamline its billing operations, lower operational costs and address the recent mandates issued by the local authority for taxation and tariffs resulting from the deregulation of the Italian gas market. CSG's Professional Services team successfully deployed the powerful billing solution so that Italgas Piu can accommodate the complex rating and billing environment for the energy and utilities sector in Italy. Increased competition brought about by deregulation led Italgas Piu to choose a solution that could be quickly configured to instantly respond to market demands as well as any changes imposed by the authority. The scalable and flexible architecture within the CSG Kenan Energy and Utilities suite will help Italgas Piu maintain a competitive advantage by enabling the company to bring new customer offers and promotions to market quickly and deliver all of its services to customers on a single invoice. Providing our customers with the utmost quality in customer service is a key focus in our business strategy, said Paolo Paganelli, IT Director of Italgas Piu.
