New I’m InTouch Remote File Transfer Interface Makes Managing Files Remotely as Easy as ‘Drag and Drop’
TORONTO, ON – March 29, 2004 –01 Communique Laboratory Inc. (TSX: ONE - www.imintouch.net), a leading remote access solutions provider, has announced the release of
I’m InTouch Version 3.5 which now offers more extensive file management capabilities and support for Microsoft Office 2003 and Windows Server 2003. Mobile professionals can use the I’m InTouch web portal to securely login from any web browser to access files and run programs on their distant PC, as well as manage Outlook e-mail and update their calendar.
The new I’m InTouch file transfer interface integrates both remote control and file management capabilities, offering the user a visual display of both the local and distant PC file systems. While running a Remote Control session – which enables users to visually see their desktop as if they were sitting in front of it – the user can quickly and easily ‘drag and drop’ files between PC’s. This ability is invaluable when sudden access to a file left at the office is needed.
I’m InTouch can be installed on desktops and servers running Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Access can be achieved from virtually any device with a web browser. No pre-configured client software is required on the accessing device.
About I’m InTouch, v3.5
I’m InTouch integrates the lifestyles and work practices of a continuously growing number of mobile individuals. Traditionally, remote access to information has required deploying expensive laptops, implementing additional networking hardware or services like VPN’s, and a user being tied to a specific device for access. Now a small or medium sized business can choose I’m InTouch to provide the flexibility for any of their employees to be able to manage e-mail and complete work assignments from the convenience of their home computer, an available computer at a customer’s site, a hotel business center or Internet café.
Existing laptop users can avoid some of the current inconveniences of having to lug a laptop home or through airport security checks by using their home computer or a wireless PDA to remotely login and stay on top of their e-mail and files while away from the office. I'm InTouch can be configured to notify wireless devices or mobile phones when new or important e-mails have arrived.
As well, network administrators and help desk technicians can provide cost-effective remote support to customers requiring help to troubleshoot their PC or assistance in running a program. Improved employee morale, improved customer satisfaction and personal productivity gains are typical results for businesses deploying the I’m InTouch remote access service.
Pricing and Availability
I’m InTouch service fees are $99.95 U.S. annually or $9.95 U.S. monthly. A free 30-day trial is available with unlimited remote access at www.imintouch.net. I’m InTouch is available directly from 01 Communique or from its authorized network of resellers and business partners.
