IntelliReach Appoints Lance Urbas CEO to Deliver Next Generation Messaging Management

DEDHAM, Mass. & SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- June 15, 2004 --

Security industry veteran Lance Urbas will lead IntelliReach with strong vision, industry expertise; Sam Levine moves to chief operating officer to oversee product development

IntelliReach Corporation, the leader in integrated compliance, security and management solutions for corporate messaging environments, announced today that the company has appointed security industry veteran Lance Urbas as chief executive officer. Mr. Urbas, who has been serving as corporate director on the company's board since March 2004, will guide the company to execute on its well-established product vision of delivering integrated, policy-based messaging management solutions. Sam Levine, who has served as IntelliReach's CEO & president since 2002, has been appointed chief operating officer, allowing him to focus his impressive technical skills on product development.

"IntelliReach, with its technical expertise and messaging pedigree, is uniquely positioned for growth in this industry, and this move helps to accelerate that growth," commented Lance Urbas, IntelliReach's new CEO. "Sam Levine's extensive technical acumen and strengths in product development are essential to deliver on our product vision of integrated policy-driven messaging management solutions. As CEO, I will be able to utilize past experience in growing organizations to execute and deliver on this vision. Together, we look forward to significantly growing IntelliReach over the long term."

Mr. Urbas has an impressive track record in the area of enterprise network security, helping security and storage leaders Authentica, Raptor Systems and Veritas Software Corporation achieve outstanding growth under his leadership. As CEO of Authentica, he helped the company raise over $32 million in financing over 5 years. As part of the senior management team, he also assisted Raptor Systems' rapid growth from $7 million to $43 million.

As CEO & president, Sam Levine helped IntelliReach grow nearly 100% annually over the past 4 years. At Cambridge Intelligence Agency/Wired Empire, Mr. Levine was CTO & product manager for a funded start-up that provided a web-based solution for content analysis and email response management. At Synaxis, he was responsible for application development and managed over 25 software projects.

IntelliReach's product vision has been recognized and validated by industry pundits. "The more mail control functions that can be managed and maintained under one common policy engine, the more exact control and the more efficient the operations," noted META Group's Matt Cain in his April 2004 teleconference, Comprehensive Messaging Management: A 2004 Imperative.
