Mintera Names Doug Stewart as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales

LOWELL, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- June 14, 2004 -- Mintera, a leading provider of next-generation 40 Gb/s fiber optic transport systems, today announced the appointment of Douglas Stewart as Sr. Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

"Doug's 24 years of successful telecom sales and management experience dealing with global Service Providers, make him the ideal candidate to lead Mintera's sales strategy and to drive worldwide revenues" said Dr. Terry Unter, Mintera Corporation's President and CEO. Prior to joining Mintera, Doug was the vice president world-wide sales at TiMetra where his team drove sales into North America, Europe, and Asia and contributed to the acquisition of TiMetra by Alcatel in 2003.

Before TiMetra, Doug served as vice president of sales at Amber Networks, selling fault-tolerant Aggregation Service Router's (ASRs) into the Provider Edge market. The successes of Doug's sales team helped to spur the acquisition of Amber by Nokia in 2001.


Doug has also occupied senior sales management positions at Ascend/Lucent and Newbridge Networks.
