ASC Announces Celebration of 40th Anniversary

Communications Giant Continues to Prosper with Innovative Recording Systems

Hösbach (Germany), July 1st, 2004 – ASC (www.asctelecom.com), a leading provider of performance improvement solutions for contact centers, financial institutions, and public-safety and government organizations, today announced the celebration of its 40th anniversary.

With 20,000 installations in more than 60 countries, ASC offers products for recording, evaluation and analysis of all electronic communications and interactions by telephone, VoIP, fax, e-mail, web chat/ browsing and desktop computer activity.

Founded on July 1, 1964, the company originally produced language-teaching systems based on open-reel, compact-cassette and microprocessor technology. In 1980, they developed the world's first digital recorder. Last year, they pioneered a Linux-based recording system, and recently released a purely software-based VoIP solution.

Guenther Mueller, Chairman and CEO of ASC telecom, said, "I am honored and humbled to guide such a prestigious company into its fifth decade. This anniversary gives us a valuable opportunity to celebrate our past achievements and look forward to future ones."

Mueller went on to talk about how ASC re-invests 15 to 20 percent of its annual revenue into research and development, and how their new Linux-based recording system, MARATHON EVOLUTION, and quality monitoring product, INSPIRATIONpro, were revolutionizing the market.

MARATHON's open-source Linux code allows ASC to customize their product to meet the special requirements of a company's communications platform. Other benefits of Linux include optimization for TCP/IP operation and SQL databases, protection from unauthorized access by a built-in firewall, advanced graphical user interfaces and immunity from Windows viruses.

INSPIRATIONpro selectively records and monitors contact-center agents with powerful features including remote playback through a WAN connection, a user-friendly browser-based interface and flexible templates for evaluation and scoring. In addition, it avoids the need for costly CTI integration through a digital interface with a company's phone system.

Though an increasing number of SMEs (small-to-medium enterprises) are benefiting from ASC's products, the company focuses on call centers, financial institutions and public-safety organizations. Their systems increase agent performance through quality monitoring; ensure order accuracy and regulatory compliance; and help dispatch systems reconstruct events to protect people and property.

Features of ASC product lines include unlimited online storage, layered architecture to fit with a firm's infrastructure, connection to a central server for companies with multiple locations, and an Instant Player for access over the Web.

With operations and selected distributors in the United States, Great Britain, France, The Netherlands and Switzerland, ASC telecom integrates and partners with leading providers such as Alcatel, Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Nextira One, Nortel, Siemens and Tenovis.
