[February 09, 2004] Matsushita Electric To Launch All-in-one Surveillance Video Recorder Equipped With 320GB Hard Drive The Digital Disk Recorder WJ-HD316, due out February 20, is Panasonic System Solutions' latest video recorder for surveillance systems. The product accommodates with a 320GB hard drive in a 9.5kg body measuring 420x88x350mm. The all-in-one recorder comes with a built-in camera control system, a motion detector, and network connectivity. It also incorporates the company's proprietary Wavelet data compression technology to support high-density video recording at 120 images per second, providing users with a month's worth of video storage at VHS quality.
