Sterling Commerce Names Donna Angiulo, Nolan Rosen and Tom Bertrand to Senior Management Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 19, 2004 --

Business integration leader expands executive, sales, and technical roster to further market momentum in data synchronization, value-added networking and multi-enterprise integration

Sterling Commerce, a business integration leader, announced today that it has named Donna Angiulo chief financial officer, Nolan Rosen chief marketing officer, and Tom Bertrand vice president of Consulting. Part of the strategic management team, these senior executives will help set the direction of Sterling Commerce's business integration products to help the company grow its portfolio of offerings and customer base across key vertical industries such as financial services and retail.

Angiulo has 20 years of global financial management and operational experience in public and pre-IPO technology companies and in public accounting. Her executive leadership assignments include chief financial officer for Baan, Americas and CODA Plc.; chief operating officer of a business unit at Baan, as well as vice president of International Business Development and vice president of Product Development for Banyan Systems Inc. Most recently, she was senior vice president of Finance and Operations at webMethods.

Rosen has more than 15 years of technology marketing experience including a position in 2000-2001 with Sterling Commerce as its vice president of Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa. His most recent position was LANDesk Software's vice president of Worldwide Marketing, as well as two years in the same role with Vignette Corporation. He also held senior marketing management positions at Novell, including director of Europe, Middle East and Africa Marketing.


Bertrand joins Sterling Commerce from Hitachi Data Systems where he led the consulting organization. Prior to Hitachi, Tom developed and ran the consulting organization at BEA through a period of exceptional growth. He also brings a significant background in support and business development during stints with BEA, Ceridian and Recognition International.

In addition to these executive appointments, Sterling Commerce expanded its sales and technical organizations with the addition of Larry Boyle, vice president and controller, Global Accounting; Dave Thonn, vice president of Account Management; Mike Rarer, vice president of Sales, Eastern Region; and Randy Vescelius, vice president of Solutions Engineering.
