Motorola Introduces Affordable, Windows-Based Public Safety Solution for Mid-Sized Agencies

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Motorola's new Digital Justice Solution Select (DJSS), expected to be available later this year, will have the ability to offer mid-sized agencies rapid, mobile access to mission critical public-safety information. DJSS has been designed to take advantage of Windows(R)-based technology for fast and economical deployment of Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing systems.

"The new Digital Justice Solution Select (DJSS) platform delivers many of the same functional benefits available to large public safety agencies at a cost smaller agencies can afford," said Tony Marshall, vice president and general manager, Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., Public Safety Solutions, Integrated Solutions Division. "There is an enormous need for continuous access to vital data during mission-critical situations. Providing this kind of information to police, fire and emergency medical personnel allows public safety agencies to effectively protect the citizens they serve by giving them the necessary tools to help save lives."
This Windows(R)-based solution enables standard, pre-configured options to be combined with a mission-critical configuration to meet the budgetary requirements of individual agencies.
