VentureWire Announces Investors' Choice Award at Datacenter Ventures; Award Recognizes 10 Security and Storage Start-Ups With the Potential for Success

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 28, 2004 -- VentureWire, the premier source of news and information about private technology companies, venture-capital firms and the people who manage and finance them, today announced the recipients of its Investors' Choice awards at its annual Datacenter Ventures Private Equity conference held in Redwood City, Calif., on Sept. 21 and 22. Seclarity, San Francisco (www.seclarity.com)--provides hardware-enforced endpoint security.

Transitive, Los Gatos, Calif. (www.transitive.com)--develops run-time software products that translate software applications to run on different CPU hardware.

Verari Systems, San Diego (www.verari.com)--provides high-density rack servers, blade servers and supercomputer clusters.

The Datacenter Ventures conference evaluates strategies that can generate revenue and profit in a difficult market environment, and examines the technologies, services, and products that will enable businesses to maximize the value of their IT budget. Topics at this year's conference included on-demand computing, data protection/recovery issues, datacenter management and datacenter security.
