Internet Domain Owners to Converge on Florida for First Worldwide Traffic-Building Conference; Celebrity Ben Stein to Keynote 'T.R.A.F.F.I.C. 2004' in October

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 20, 2004 -- For the first time in history, the owners of the Internet's most valuable virtual "real estate" will gather in October to discuss building site traffic and other business development strategies. "Domainers" who collectively own millions of dotcom addresses will be coming from Europe, the Pacific Rim and throughout the United States for T.R.A.F.F.I.C. 2004 - an innovative four-day conference presented October 20-23, 2004 at the Delray Beach Marriott Resort in Delray Beach, Florida, by the World Association of Domain Name Developers, Inc.

"Domains represent real estate of the new century," say Rick Schwartz and Howard Neu, conference co-founders. Schwartz, a Boca Raton resident who owns candy.com and close to 5,000 other domains, sold one of his holdings, men.com, for $1.3 million last year. "Just like bricks and mortar real estate, the key to success in the virtual world is location, location and location." Neu is a Fort Lauderdale attorney who specializes in Internet law.

A domain like Loans.com, says Schwartz, probably gets in the neighborhood of 10,000 browser bar type-ins a day, thus bypassing the search engines as potential customers and landing leads directly at the front door of the Bank of America. "What would be the daily cost and value of having 10,000 fresh customers lined up at your door every day of the week looking for a loan," he said.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. 2004 will cover the art and science of the online traffic produced by effective domains, and how they generate tens of millions of dollars to their owners.

"As the first tradeshow of its kind, T.R.A.F.F.I.C. 2004 will bring together domain owners, sponsors and search engine companies along with registrars and experts on creating, driving and targeting traffic," said Ron Sheridan, CEO of Domainsponsor.com (California), one of the conference's major sponsors.

Other sponsors include Fabulous.com (Australia), Hitfarm.com (Hong Kong), Pool.com (California), Kanoodle.com (New York), Parkingdots.com (London), FMA.com (Saudi Arabia) and Stoeser.com (Washington state).

The conference keynote speaker is celebrity Ben Stein, a well-known actor in movies, TV, and commercials, as well as a noted author of books and articles. Stein is the host of the Comedy Central quiz show, "Win Ben Stein's Money" that has won seven Emmys. He appears regularly on the Fox News show, "Cavuto on Business" and is currently a celebrity judge on the CBS hit, "Star Search."

Industry leaders who will discuss how to increase revenue streams through more effective targeting of online traffic will give seminars.
