XaviXGames Enables College Students to Tap Into the Future of Interactive Electronics

SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)-- Oct. 8, 2004 -- Leading-Edge Interactive Platform Joins Nationwide College Tour to Reach Technology's Early Adopters

XaviX(R) will unveil its cutting-edge interactive technology, XaviXTechnology(TM), to college students throughout the country at the TechKnowOverload Tour (TKO) in time for the back-to-school buying season. TKO delivers advanced digital products to more than 40 major universities annually, and reaches more than 60,000 college students each semester. On the multi-city tour, XaviX will reveal the technology featured in their line of interactive sports games, XaviXGames(TM), which integrates XaviXTechnology with the thrill of action-packed video gaming. Technology fans will have the chance to jump right into the action to experience the system, which features a XaviXPORT(TM) system platform, individual game cartridges for one of three available interactive sports games -- XaviXTennis(TM), XaviXBaseball(TM), and XaviXBowling(TM), and wireless sports controllers that have the realistic feel and functionality of true sports equipment. XaviXTechnology allows users to engage in the physical movements of each sport, bringing them right into the game.

"We are thrilled to participate on this nationwide tour and give college students the opportunity to touch, see, and feel interactive audio video technology through XaviXGames," states Rachel Woodland, project lead of marketing and research for SSD COMPANY LIMITED, marketers of the new XaviX brand.

"XaviX provides an experience unlike any system on the market, getting students off the couch and right into the action," adds Woodland. "College students can play baseball in their living room, or challenge a roommate to a tennis match without ever leaving the dorm. The difference with XaviX is that you are getting the real sensation and many of the same physical benefits of an actual game."

Based on the powerful XaviX(R) multiprocessor chip, XaviXTechnology combines human interface technology, including optical sensor and infra-red, to allow the television to respond directly to a user's motion. Using the accompanying wireless controllers, players may return a serve, bowl a strike or hit a pitch to send an opponent running, and the system responds to the velocity of these motions. For all three game titles, players have the ability to challenge the system player with individual skill sets and player styles, or may also duel against an opponent in multiple-player modes. Realistic, high-definition graphics and stereo sound effects place users in the center of the action -- whether at center court, a baseball diamond or bowling lane. College students will have the opportunity to try all three games on the TKO Tour.

"The tour is a great way to share the XaviX technology," explains Woodland. "Our interactive sports line of XaviXGames will be featured in TKO's ultimate dorm room, which will showcase the latest in technology must-haves, while students will have the opportunity to experience the games in the XaviXGames pavilion."

Katsuya Nakagawa, president and CEO of SSD COMPANY LIMITED, adds, "We are pleased to introduce XaviXGames to young audiences all across the U.S. as part of the national debut of our new XaviX brand. We will listen to our customers and evolve our technology platform to meet the direct needs of the American market."

In its second year, the tour has plans to reach at least twenty-five top universities by the years' end, bringing XaviX Games to the forefront. The tour will visit such destination cities as Atlanta, Washington D.C., Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, and Detroit, among many others.
