Yankee Group Hires Supply Chain Authority and Industry Veteran John Fontanella; Business Expert to Build Supply Chain Team for Enterprise Services Research and Consulting Unit
BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- Nov. 30, 2004 -- The Yankee Group announced the appointment of John Fontanella as vice president of supply chain services. In this role, Fontanella will focus on delivering research and advisory services on supply chain technology, performance benchmarks and best practices to vendor and enterprise clients.

Fontanella's most recent experience was as vice president of supply chain services at AMR Research, having also been vice president of business development for Skyway Transportation. Fontanella also held operational and logistical positions within Microsoft Corporation. Fontanella consulted with Fortune 500 companies, the Department of Defense, and the venture capital community on software selection, business process improvement and investment opportunities. The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, FORTUNE and BusinessWeek have frequently quoted him on software trends and buyer preferences. Adweek named him as one of the top ten technology analysts in 2001.
