-- 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. - Room 201B - Neil Rossmeissl, program manager, Biomass Power, Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, U.S. Department of Energy. Rossmeissl, who leads the DOE biorefinery analysis, will participate in a panel session on renewable energy technologies.

-- 2:00-3:30 p.m. - Room 201A - Ben Wu, assistant secretary nominee for Technology Policy, U.S. Department of Commerce. Wu will speak at the session titled "Offshoring of Engineering Services: How Far Does it Go?"

-- 3:45-5:15 p.m. - Room 201B - Nancy Garland, Ph.D., manager of Technology Development, Hydrogen, Fuel Cells & Infrastructure Technologies, Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, DOE, and Jarad Daniels, DOE Office of Fossil Energy, will discuss fuel cell technologies, including the FutureGen project - the DOE's initiative to build the first integrated sequestration and hydrogen production research power plant.

-- 3:45-5:15 p.m. - Room 202A - Al Frink, assistant secretary of Commerce for Manufacturing Services, will address a panel session in discussing the challenges facing U.S.-based manufacturing companies. Frink will provide the Administration's analysis and offer insights into finding ways to revitalize and strengthen the U.S. manufacturing sector.

-- 8:20-8:50 a.m. - Laguna A - Richard Russell, associate director, Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President, will speak on ASME's fellows program and the U.S. Nanotechnology Initiative, which he is leading for the Bush Administration.

The 2004 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and RD&D Expo, ASME's premier conference for the engineering and technology community, will be held Nov. 13-19, at the Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, Calif. The Congress and Expo events will provide a world-class forum for thousands of engineers, researchers, industry experts, government representatives and academic leaders from around the world.
