New Science Fiction Series ''Stones' Quest'' by Author LaRene R. Ellis Hits Bookstores

KAYSVILLE, Utah --(Business Wire)-- Nov. 8, 2004 -- Stones' Quest - In Search of Its Master First in the Six Volume Series Begins the Great Quest of the Stones

Gathering Place Publishers, Inc. has announced the publication of book one in the six volume Stones' Quest series of science fiction novels by author LaRene R. Ellis. The series, primarily geared to the young adult audience, will delight young and old alike. Reviewers at Marvelous Multimedia, Inc. have hailed the book as, "An original sci-fi story -- Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings. We loved it!"

Stones' Quest: In Search of Its Master begins the tale of the great quest of the Stones. Filled with mystery and magic, spaceships and spies, the story chronicles an ongoing war within the Ellisarius Galaxy that once enjoyed peace and prosperity when the Master of the Galaxy ruled with four pure white Stones of ultimate power. But three decades ago, the Stones were scattered and the Master disappeared. Now the story begins.

Readers will be introduced to the book's captivating central characters -- Ghonllier, considered to be the best commander in the I-Force fleet who, along with the inimitable I-Force general Dapper, fights valiantly in the galactic civil war against the evil Suzair the Great and the KOGN forces. The delightful Sooner and Jasper, along with many other imaginative characters, fill the pages of this enchanting series of novels.

LaRene R. Ellis is a deep thinking, insightful and imaginative writer, who has used her life's experiences and observations to create this mind-expanding science fiction series for her teenage and adult audience. The Stones' Quest series began to flow from the keyboard when LaRene found herself confined to her home for three months following a bad bout with the flu. The project extended into a "quest" that lasted four years -- eight hours per day, six days per week.

The younger members of her audience have hailed Stones' Quest: In Search of Its Master as "A real page turner." One twelve-year-old has said, "I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I just couldn't put it down."

"I feel very fortunate that I have been able to write this series of science fiction novels and see plots and characters come to life," said LaRene. "In my writing, I have found that my mind is always two sentences ahead of my fingers and I have a difficult time keeping up. My greatest satisfaction comes in seeing the response of my readers to book one and knowing that they can soon enjoy books two through five that are in the pipeline and book six that will be close behind."

"The book was fantastic! My imagination was kept in high gear as I anxiously followed the interest-gripping action and unique story line," said Heidi Tice, book editor from Middleton, Delaware. "I became very involved in the characters lives and anxiously watched to see what would happen next."
