MapInfo Announces European MapWorld User Road Show Next generation location technology previewed at MapInfo’s annual user forums taking place in eight European countries17 May 2004 – MapInfo today announces the European leg of the MapWorld 2004 worldwide tour for customers. At these one- and two-day events, MapInfo executives will provide attendees with the latest information on MapInfo products and solutions as well as examples on how they can maximise their investment in MapInfo technology. In addition, the next generation of location technology will be discussed including solutions for Microsoft .NET and MapInfo’s EnvinsaTM location platform, that will allow any organisation to harness the power of location across the enterprise. This series of seminars and workshops for new and existing end users, developers, system integrators and VARs will provide an opportunity to hear about new applications of location intelligence and update users on the strategy, vision and product roadmap of MapInfo. The issue of interoperability will also be discussed and attendees will find out how they can move location based data beyond the desktop and department onto the centre state of enterprise IT for effective information sharing, thereby improving decision-making at all levels. Each event will be hosting guest users who will present their experiences in achieving competitive value from mapping and location technology. There is also the opportunity for users to gain insight into existing and new MapInfo technologies with experts on-hand to walk through a selection of applications. One of the highlights for this years’ user event will be a series of Industry Vertical Breakout Sessions; each tuned to meet the local territory demands and demonstrating enterprise-wide, multiple platform implementations.
